Gentle Touch North was set up in August 2009 in Hexham, Northumberland, as a support group for energy healers and sound healers from across the North.
As Complementary Therapists, other therapies practiced and areas of work within our group include:
Reflexology – Aromatherapy – Homoeopathy – The Bowen Technique – Speech Therapy – Yoga – Tai Chi – Colour Therapy – Funeral Celebrancy – Animal Healing and Animal Communication – Equine Acupressure – Support in Oncology – Support in Palliative Care – Support for Older People – Support for those with Learning Disabilities.
Some members have trained, through the 'Integrative Therapies Training Unit' at The Christie Hospital, Manchester, in The 'HEARTS Process' which is a therapeutic approach for use in supportive and palliative care settings. HEARTS is an acronym for Hands on, Empathy, Aromatherapy, Relaxation, Textures and Sound.
We are qualified practitioners, who are accredited through the relevant awarding bodies; we recognise the benefits of Integrative Medicine and adopt a Holistic approach to health and well-being.
With this in mind, we decided to create a website, Gentle Touch North, to provide a wider support network and to raise the profile of the numerous and varied activities of all Complementary Therapists across the North of England and Scotland – promoting Events and providing Advertising for Practitioners and Holistic Therapy Centres.
If you are a Complementary Therapist interested in Advertising on our website, then do contact us.
